Acidic foods and drinks like citrus, coffee, cola and more erode away your teeth – and so do lots of other foods and beverages. But not everything works against beautiful, healthy teeth that last a lifetime. Brushing, flossing and mouthwashes get rid of acid and debris that cause damage and decay. If your teeth always feel dirty, you may decide to brush harder or get a stiffer brush. But that erodes away enamel, makes teeth yellow and leads to decay and damage. Instead, brush, floss, use mouth rinses and get dental cleanings once or twice a year. Brighton Dental San Diego is pleased to welcome Anthony Viruet, a registered dental hygienist, to our gentle dental team. With an accomplished history in the United States Navy and experience working for dentists in Florida and California, Anthony brings unique qualifications and excellent skills to our practice.
He’s an excellent fit for Brighton Dental because his training with the U.S. government has developed him into a dependable and efficient team member with a strong work ethic and fun, comforting chair-side manner.
Antony worked for almost 3 years as a dental technician for the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C. and Okinawa, Japan – running dental offices, supervising staff and managing budgets while treating patients with the level of professionalism that the Navy requires. After leaving the military, he completed additional training at Concorde Career College-San Diego and worked in several practices.
Perhaps the most unique thing about Anthony – and the aspect of his life that patients most want to talk about – is his 2 years with the United States Ceremonial Guard honoring America’s fallen sailors. He had the privilege of participating in 21 gun salutes at Arlington National Cemetery, the U.S. Naval Academy and other burial areas. This assignment also involved working with the Pentagon and White House honoring foreign leaders and dignitaries as well as many other drill performances and ceremonies.
Anthony is part of a diverse team of dental hygienists and other team members at Brighton Dental San Diego who are interested in much more than just your teeth. As well-rounded people of integrity, we get to know you and the things that matter in your life. Together with you, we develop and implement dental and oral health plans aimed at helping you have the best life possible. We’re more than pleased to have Anthony on this team, and we hope you can meet him soon!
Here’s a dental tip coming directly to you: Brush up and down, not side to side, for cleaner teeth – but don’t brush harder or with a stiffer brush because that doesn’t help. Still, no home oral health program can remove all plaque and tartar, so come in for a cleaning and let us get the rest. The simple, painless process starts by contacting Brighton Dental in San Diego now at (619) 359-6569 for your FREE oral health assessment.
While flossing helps you clean the 35 percent of each tooth you can’t clean any other way, a much larger percentage of the plaque and debris in your mouth is hiding where even the best brushes can never reach. Floss, brush and use mouthwash for a totally clean mouth. Learn more about a healthy smile by contacting Brighton Dental San Diego now at (619) 359-6569 for your FREE oral health assessment.
